My Thoughts
I recently got to try the Dare to be Young Skin Tightener/Rejuvenator (as shown above). I absolutely love the ingredients! They make this product smell so good and relaxing. Dare to be Young makes my skin feel cool, but not too tingly. I love to use it after a really good facial scrub/cleanse. It works as a great base before applying makeup. The best part is that this product is cruelty free and vegan. The price may seem steep to some, but I have found that you can expect to spend well over $100 to get the same effects of Dare to Be Young. So in my opinion, it is well worth the money!

Day 13 of 15 Days of Giveaways-John Paul Pet

If any of you have a pet, I am sure you consider them a part of your family.

Dogs are often given baths with cheap, toxic shampoos. You certainly wouldn't use this stuff on your children, so why does your dog have to suffer?

Luckily, John Paul, from Paul Mitchell, offers a line of shampoos made for dogs. They have extensive knowledge on creating awesome salon products, and this carries over onto their pet products. 30 years ago John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, revolutionized the professional salon industry by banning animal testing for his line of hair products. Even if you don't know much about John Paul, it is still very easy to peg him as a pet lover. I have seen him sporadically across social media platforms, websites, and television showcasing his love of dogs.

John Paul’s in-depth expertise in hair and skin care formulations also led to research in new standards for pet grooming and hygiene, which lead to the creation of John Paul Pet shampoos, conditioners, sprays and pet wipes. John Paul Pet shampoos and conditioners are pH balanced so they don’t irritate sensitive pet skin and the entire line is “tested on humans first” to ensure effectiveness and safety for all pets. To learn more about John Paul Pet, and John Paul himself, click here.

I recently got to try the Awapoochi line. This is John Paul Pets first set of pet products without Parabens and EDTA! How exciting is that? A dog shampoo I am not afraid of!

I loved the way it smelled, and especially the way it made Paddingtons coat shine. He was so soft and clean for all of 5 minutes before breaking free and running about the back field. Despite being dirty, again, he still smelled fresh and his coat looked immensely different. Paddy Bear loves baths, but tends to want to run around right after. Does your dog do this?

Day 13 of 15 Days of Giveaways-Fruit.0

A little about Fruit.0
Fruit.0 is a 100% organic fruit snack pouch that was created as a healthy snack alternative for people when they crave for something "small" in between meals or when they are on the go – think ripe fruits, just more convenient. So they serve as a healthy alternative to granola bars, cookies, candy, dried fruit, and fruit cups.
Their snacks are 100% pure premium crushed fruit – they don’t use any applesauce because apples are available everywhere and naturally a handy snack, and they don’t use any water-concentrate mixes because they believe in the deliciousness of real fruit. I love that fact! Cutting products with applesauce and fruit juice concentrates are usually just a clever way to include more sugars.  Additionally they don’t add any sugar, flavors, or artificial preservatives. The snacks are naturally rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and only have 100 calories!
Fruit.0 offers two flavors: Mango Pear Pineapple and Blueberry Blackberry Banana. I personally did not care for the first one, but my family did! I don't like Mangoes or Pears. I feel like you either have to love Mangoes, or hate them. I hate them. Despise them even. The fact that an extremely picky 7 yr old boy that I babysit loves the Mango Pear Pineapple Fruit.0 proves that they are indeed yummy, just not for me. Now the Blueberry Blackberry Banana on the other hand is delish! I would have to say it is hands down the best tasting fruit squeeze I have ever tried. The flavors are spot on (duh, they use real fruits) and I find it hard to eat just one pouch. Heck, they are only 100 calories each, so why not double up!?
My Thoughts

I love fruit, but I tend to like veggies more, as I am not much into sweets. I know that it is important to incorporate both fruits and veggies into my daily diet, but I find it hard to do. Especially when it comes to fruit. It is naturally a great snack, but also sticky, messy, and usually a lot of work. With Fruit.0 I have found it easy to enjoy fruit. Their snacks aren't overly sweet, so I enjoy them. Yet, they also seem to be sweet enough that young children enjoy them as well! To me, that is versatility at its best. I love how I can enjoy Fruit.0 while on the go, or while doing some sort of activity. I love that I can eat it without hands. I know it might look odd, but as we speak I am typing while holding a Fruit.0 pouch with me teeth, slurping it down!

I found them to be the perfect snack to take while jogging, biking, hiking, and playing disc golf. I can put them in my backpack or purse without worry. Granola bars on the other hand tend to get smashed, or worse, crumbled. They also tend to have a lot of sugars while claiming to be healthy. With Fruit.0 I know I am getting real fruit as well as a simple, non messy snack. I love being able to get a full serving of fruit without making a mess, or getting my hands sticky. Fruit.0 is perfect for active adults and families!

Win your own Fruit.0 Sampler!

Day 12 of 15 Days of Giveaways-Matt's Munchies

About Matt's Munchies

As a long-time vegetarian and finicky snacker, Robert decided to create his own wholesome, satisfying munchies that would support a healthy lifestyle. A banker by profession, Robert took over the kitchen and six months later, voila! Chef Robert emerged with amazingly tasty and nutritious premium fruit snacks. Robert named the new product Matt’s Munchies after his son, Matthew, who helped develop the unique flavors. With intentions as pure as their products Chef, Matt and Sous Chef Linda (momma) seek to brighten the snacking landscape together with their exciting munchies!

The Matt's Munchies family! Too cute!
My Thoughts

I love Matt's Munchies! I discovered their site, and had to contact them. They obliged to send me some samples, and I was stoked when the package came. Samples my butt! They sent two boxes full of their fruit snacks, boasting 2 each of every flavor. I was shocked!

I love how they use the highest quality premium organic ingredients and how they put a lot of love into each and every piece. I also really like the ingredient list--no added sugars, preservatives or anything artificial. Matt's Munchies are super moist with a non offensive texture (like most fruit leathers), the flavors make my mouth water just thinking about them. I love that my dogs can snack on these with me, they love 'em! I was surprised to learn that an entire package is ONLY 100 calories! A single cookie typically has more calories than that!

It was definitely a surprise when I opened my first package: Banana. I was not expecting how unique the product would be. The fruit leathers actually resembled tiny bits of leather, and was on a long strip of paper. Not your typical fruit leather. I was impressed!

Seriously.. only 100 calories!?
Wowzers!

Day 11 of 15 Days of Giveaways-Therapearl

 About Therapearl

The Pearl Technology® contained in every THERA°PEARL pack is game changing innovation born of an age old therapy. Crafted by a doctor who knew she could offer her patients something better than a bag of frozen peas, THERA°PEARL was designed with you in mind. Whether chilled or heated, Pearl Technology conveniently holds its temperature for the doctor recommended time of 20 minutes and conforms to your body to deliver the perfect relief from your aches and pains.

Easily pliable when frozen, our Pearl Technology is cold enough to offer targeted ice therapy without sacrificing flexibility. Not stiff, jagged or uncomfortable, chilled THERA°PEARL packs stay smooth and soft on your skin as they conform to deliver soothing relief.

When conveniently heated in a microwave, the Pearl Technology in your THERA°PEARL pack is the perfect solution to relax stiff muscles and encourage blood flow and healing. Delivering consistent heat therapy directly to your desired relief area without a mess, the reusable packs are combination therapy in one convenient product.

My Thoughts
I recently received two sets of TheraPearl- a Knee Wrap and a pair of Shin Wraps. I have heard a lot of great things about TheraPearl, so I was definitely excited to give them a go! I have always suffered from sore muscles for as long as I can remember. As a baby, I would wake up screaming and holding my legs. The pain was so bad. The doctor always chalked it up to being "growing pains" even after I stopped growing.Turns out, I actually had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as Restless Leg Syndrome. I am still bothered off and on by achy and restless legs. It tends to happen after being on my feet all day (not wearing comfy shoes), jogging, hiking and riding bikes. No matter how active I am, it still happens. It seems to me that there is no getting rid of it.

Luckily, I learned about hot/cold packs and started using those a few years ago. Before discovering TheraPearl, I was literally having to place a paper towel over the pack and duct tape it on. This always left adhesive on my legs, and was rather uncomfortable. I didn't see any other options, as I had to use the packs to get to sleep and they always seemed to fall off (I cannot sleep on my back. I just can't. It feels so forced and awkward. I have always been a stomach sleeper.) I usually also had separate pack for hot and a separate pack for cold. With TheraPearl, I can use the SAME pack for BOTH temperatures. It is amazing.

*Sorry for the fuzzy quality on the photos. I don't own a camera, but have a Sony Handycam. It usually takes great photos, just not at night :(

Rigoni Di Asiago sent me a couple jars of their Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread with cocoa and milk for review. Nocciolata is creamy, rich and the consistency is perfect. The taste is amazing and I love that it contains sunflower oil instead of palm oil. It tastes wonderful on toast and is an excellent replacement for peanut butter. It is all organically grown and certified USDA Organic.

I really enjoy Nocciolata on my mini bagels! Mm nom nom nom!

Day 11 of 15 days of Giveaways- Zymbol

I want to share with you an amazing jewelry company called Zymbol. For those of you who have never heard of them, shame on you! Just kidding, of course. That is what I am here for! Zymbol sent over a nice package with one of their wrap and tuck bracelets. Zymbol is not your ordinary jewelry designer. Their story makes my heart smile, and I know yours will as well.

I was sent the Wrap and Tuck bracelet in tan. I love the idea and style of this piece. Zymbol offers many other styles, all featuring their unique pendant design. When wearing my Zymbol I am constantly reminded of my goals, my inspiration, and gives me a constant sense of motivation and zen. I absolutely LOVE my Zymbol, and have been wearing it everyday since I received it. I am so glad I discovered this awesome jewelry line, as they offer such a variety of items, I can get everyone on my Christmas list something different!

You can tell I really love something when I take so many photos of it..

The Doodle That Started it All!
SO.. What is Zymbol?

Zymbol is a line of inspirational jewelry based on one design that contains EVERY letter of the alphabet and EVERY number. The design itself was created on accident when Sally Short was doodling. (I myself am a doodler, but apparently not like Sally!) She was writing out LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED, stacking them on top of each other. Then, as if it were the cherry to her sundae, she added a peace sign on top! Sally loved this design and idea so much, that she sent it off to be cast as a pendant for herself. The one time she took it off, her children noticed something peculiar. The pendant was lying sideways when the children noticed a distinct letter K withing the design. Knowing that K was not in the phrase their mother sued to create this design, they began to ponder. They all sat down as a family to find what other letters may be hidden in this symbol. They uncovered every letter and every number, all in Sally's doodle pendant. This sparked the idea to create a line of inspirational jewelry based on the doodle! They cleverly chose the name Zymbol, as this is one symbol containing the letters A-Z!

Each Zymbol is sent with a gift card for you to write out your own inspirational word or phrase. Some people wear it as the same word or phrase daily, yet some choose a different phrase to live by each day. Wearing the Zymbol is a constant reminder of your phrase, and can be uplifting. This jewelry is so interactive! Your meaning can change and evolve with you. Zymbol is just one of those items that can be the perfect gift or accessory for anyone of any age, of any walk of life!

“Zymbol is a sign of the times,” commented Sally. “Everybody on this earth is united and unique. 1,000,000 people could be wearing the exact same symbol but it would mean something different & unique to each of them.”

My favorite part about this company is that for every Zymbol sold, the Short family donates another to a hospitalized child. Along with the pendant, each child receives an activity sheet that allows them to trace out their own personal message of encouragement. If that doesn't warm your heart, I don't know what will!

Day 10 of 15 days of Giveaways-Crayon Rocks

Barbara and her 4th grade students!

About Crayon Rocks:

Barbara Lee has taught children with special needs for 23 years. She invented Crayon Rocks after being inspired by Jan Olsen, OTR, and the Handwriting Without Tears program. She learned from her how important it was to develop early a good tripod grip. Handwriting skills depends upon this.

Since a child's first writing tool is usually a crayon, that crayon should be one that encourages him or her to use thumb, first and second fingers in a tripod grip.  This is what makes Crayon Rocks a wonderful tool for fine motor development.

A Little Goes a Long Way with Crayon Rocks!

*A really good crayon should take very little effort in applying great swaths of color to the paper.  In fact, that crayon should be as much like paint as possible. Rich color that goes on smoothly and easily helps little fingers to grow strong as they spill their creative ideas onto paper.

Barbara wanted a coloring tool that students with grip strength problems and disorders affecting fine motor control could use AND enjoy.
Children with cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delays and various forms of learning disabilities have tested Crayon Rocks in the classroom.

More about  Crayon Rocks:
*Crayon Rocks uses U.S.A. grown and processed Kosher soy wax and several other organic waxes such as carnauba. Their colorants are derived from minerals and the filler, which gives the crayon its body, is a natural ground up rock.
*Crayon Rocks are made on a hilltop in Hestand, Kentucky, U.S.A. using American labor.
* They are made on a machine built exclusively for us by Monkey Wrench Design, San Francisco, CA
Crayon Rocks have NO phthalates in them.
*Crayon Rocks supports many charities.

Day 9 of 15 days of Giveaways-Auromère Review, Giveaway, and FREE SAMPLES!

Over 30 years ago Auromère Ayurvedic Imports started as a small community-owned business that became one of the first companies to introduce Ayurveda to the U.S. Today Auromere is a leading importer of Ayurvedic body care, conscious living products and literature. Auromère’s mission is to bring the ancient spiritual and traditional healing wisdom of India and a higher consciousness within reach of our modern, fast-paced lives.

More than just natural, the wild-crafted herbs and minerals used within the Auromère recipes are noted for their unique beneficial and rejuvenative qualities.  The purity and effectiveness of the Ayurvedic ingredients, formulations and manufacturing procedures make Auromère products distinctively different and delightfully powerful for maintaining health, well-being, and beauty.  Products include toothpaste, mouth wash, handmade soaps, neem balm, shampoo, mud bath, massage oil, body lotion, aromatherapy incense and more.  In addition to that, Auromère imports a wide range of books on Ayurveda, Holistic Health, Integral Yoga, and classical spiritual texts from India.

The product I really wanted to try was the Incense. I often suffer from allergies while burning incense because it is made of lesser quality ingredients. It is a bit harder than one might think to find higher quality incense. I have been longing for some quality incense sticks for awhile, and  Auromère came to my rescue! I got to try three different scents from the Aromatherapy line. The fragrances I chose were: Patchouli, Indian Cedar, and Lavender. I am completely smitten with any earthy or herbal type of fragrance. What I love about these fragrances is that they each offer a unique effect.

The Lavender incense promotes a steadying influence on the psyche, tempering extreme emotional states with a sense of rationality. Counteractive for stress, anger, depression, hypertension, mood sings, insomnia, etc

The Ceder incense is Calming and elevating, anti-depressive, helps develop a sense of self-control, integrity and fortitude, clears the mind (good for daydreamers and the absent-minded), helpful for breath control (pranayama).

The Patchouli (my personal favorite) strengthens the nerves and stimulates the senses, it acts as an anti-depressive, helps put problems into perspective, and is regenerative.

I LOVE that these incense sticks are hand rolled. Makes for a better product!

I use these incense with an open state of mind, oftentimes while meditating or doing yoga. Each scent really paints a different picture for me as I focus on my breathing while enjoying the delicate and aromatic smoke billowing around me.
