I LOVE cooking. If you have been on my Pinterest page, you know by now that I love food. Since more than half of my pins revolve around cooking or baking, I always seem to be in the kitchen! Needless to say, I was super stoked when the Teeny Tiny Spice Company of Vermont offered up some of their incredible spices for my family and me to review. I got to try out the Organic Chocolate Chili, Organic Shepherd Herb Mix, and the OrganicWhoopass seasonings. The cooler weather had me in the mood for baking, so I decided to bake with the Chocolate Chili. Teeny Tiny sent along some yummy recipes with the spices, and I chose to bake the Spicy Chocolate Brownies.
They were so good! I admit, the first couple bites caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting so much of a spicy kick, but I am glad it was there. I have never had anything like this other than spicy chocolate bars. This recipe definitely isn't for everyone, but I think you should give it a try!
This seasoning also makes a great rib rub and addition to any chili! I personally can't wait o try it in hot cocoa!
*Recipe will be posted separately.*
Despite detesting fennel, I still really enjoyed the Shepherd Herb Mix. I used it on a roast chicken that I made in the Crockpot. I put the herbs under the skin and inside the bird along with carrots and celery. The aromatics this herb mix created was to die for. My mouth was watering all day. We don't eat meat very often in my family, and when we do, it is either seafood or poultry.
Now this seasoning is AMAZING!
My family loves to kick up the heat on almost everything we eat. This little tin of seasoning perfection is just what I need when cooking anything. I like adding a smidge to ketchup to make it spicy, sprinkling it on sweet potato fries, adding it to meatloaf, etc. I have so many ways to use this spice I don't think we will ever get tired of it.
The Teeny Tiny Spice co offers several varieties of premixed seasoning as well as having multiple seasonings for bulk purchase.
Be sure to check them out!
