I love when great companies, with amazing products have even better values.

When Nordic Naturals agreed to send me some products, they went above and beyond what I expected. They didn't send me some random items to try. Instead, they got to know my readers a bit, and sent me products for our demographic. (Women between 18-45). Although, everyone could benefit from the items I received! 

I was told that perhaps the three most important nutrients for women in this age range are omega-3s, probiotics and Vitamin D3. I could not agree more!

 I have been enjoying taking the Nordic Probiotic. The pills are easy for me to swallow and do not get stuck in my throat as some other pills do. I love that I only have to take 2 a day. The capsules are vegetarian, making them perfect for people trying to stay away from meats etc. (Some companies make their capsules out of animal gelatin.. Gross!)

 I am so happy to have discovered the Complete Omega-D3. The only pill I ever dread taking is fish oil. I hate the smell, I hate the taste, and I definitely hate the fishy burps I get after. To be honest, I have been neglecting taking my Omegas due to those reasons. When I received these capsules, I was stoked. They seem to be much better quality than what I am used to, so I willingly took them. I didn't experience any nasty burps afterwards! And with that alone, I am sold.

I was lucky enough to get to try each one of the Shantelyn Treasure Mixes. Due to the overwhelming popularity of their baked Shantelyn Treasure Mixes, they are making their ready-to-eat mixes available. However, these are basically a showcase of the different types of snack foods that the Shantelyn Treasure Dust Mixtures work well on. Therefore, they are NOT gluten free and the types of snack foods used in all of their Shantelyn Treasure Mixes may vary. 

It was pretty cool to taste a lot of different items with the Shantelyn Treasure Dust on them. Of course, I would use different things if I made my own, but it is always fun to cheat in the healthy foods department!

Namaste Gluten Free Foods Review and Giveaway

Namaste Foods is a small (but growing!) manufacturer of fine foods that contain no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, potato, dairy, casein, peanuts or tree nuts. In business since 2000, they continue to strive to be the best at what they do so that you can enjoy all the foods you’ve known and loved all your life. 

Namaste Foods' approach has always been very "grassroots" in nature. When they first started, they didn’t have the money to hire advertising firms, public relations people and expensive brokers like everyone else does so they just started reaching out to people through various support groups such as Celiac Support groups, Autism support groups, food allergy support groups and the like. I was sent a nice variety of Namaste Foods products. I myself am not gluten free (as far as I know!), but I enjoy eating gluten free foods anyway. They sent me their Brownie Mix, Pizza Crust Mix, and Taco Pasta Dinner.

If you love chocolate, these brownies are for you! They are ooey, gooey fudgey and oh so delicious. Absolutely guaranteed to please even the pickiest of "wheat-eaters."AKA me! Super simple! Just add eggs, water and oil.

The Pizza Crust Mix has a wonderful gourmet flavor because of their blend of nine herbs and spices. It is delicious with tomato or pesto sauce and all of your favorite toppings. (It tastes so good that it doesn't even need sauce!) Or just bake and top with parmesan cheese for delicious bread sticks. This Pizza Crust is free of yeast and sugar, too!

This Pizza Crust makes the most delicious coating for pan-fried chicken or fish! Just dredge in some Pizza Crust mix and pan fry until done. A sprinkle of salt right out of the pan and voila! Superb!

So easy! Just add oil and water.

 The Taco Pasta Dinner will make your taste buds jump for joy! The addition of a few simple ingredients from your pantry is sure to make this a family favorite. Or just add olive oil and seasoning packet for a fast and easy side dish!

Alternative Baking Company- Proving that Vegan Food can be Delicious too!

Alternative Baking Company uses sustainable palm oil!!

Alternative Baking Company offers 12 delicious looking cookies to choose from. I got to choose four, and it was very hard to make a decision. In the end I went with the Outrageous Oatmeal Raisin Walnut Cookie, Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie, Blueberry Lemon Muffincookie, Explosive Espresso Chip Cookie.

I am typically not a fan of packaged cookies, but these babies were amazing! No joke. They were all so good that it was hard to choose which one was my favorite. But I guess if I had to, I would choose the Explosive Espresso Chip Cookie. Each cookie is 2 servings, but this particular one was hard to stop eating at the halfway point. The cookie is so soft, and the espresso flavor just explodes in your mouth. Hence the name, I suppose! This cookie tastes even better when heated up for a bit!

The Blueberry Lemon MuffinCookie is scrumpulescent! I have never had anything like it. It is soft, lemony, and bursts of real blueberries. It is also very tasty warm, and goes nicely with a cup of coffee.

Amore di Mona-Tasty, Allergen Free Chocolate

 

Amore di Mona is a collective of nutrition-focused food artisans and health care providers. Within their families and circle of friends lies the source of their initial inspiration as many of them have food allergies, diabetes, gluten intolerance or have chosen a vegan lifestyle.

  

All selections are created with high quality, natural, preservative-free, non-GMO, kosher ingredients.  Their cocoa butter is imported from Belgium and Holland, cocoa solids from Belgium. Madhava provides their raw, organic, Fair Trade agave nectar. Fruits included are fresh or sulfite free, sun dried organic. The gluten free grains they use are milled whole.

I was recently sent the entire selection of Amore di Mona Gourmet Chocolates to hoard and eat all to myself share with my family. Before even seeing the chocolates, I could tell they were going to be good. At first glance you can immediately tell that Amore di Mona takes their time on what they do, and aesthetics matter to them. Just look at the fancy envelope they sent:

The packaging for the chocolates seemed fancy to me as well. I enjoyed the texture of the box, and the foil kept the chocolates nice and fresh.

Out of all of the Amore di Mona Chocolates, I would have to say that overall the Caramela varieties are my favorite. they remind me of a fancier (and tastier) version of those boxed chocolates everyone throws in the trash after Valentines Day. The Caramela with coffee beans is fantastic. I have never tasted anything like this before, and was a bit reluctant to share. 

Mmm. Just looking at these photos makes me wish I had more to eat!
