LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics Review

About LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics
LUSH products are freshly made by hand. They like to use the finest ingredients and they have buyers who seek to find the best honey, chocolate, seaweed, and even organic vegan stout from around the world. If you consider an ingredient good enough to eat, then it makes perfect sense that it would be good enough for your body! LUSH believes in buying ingredients only from companies that do not conduct or commission tests on animals as well as only testing their products on humans. I love that  LUSH makes all of their products in small batches, by hand, to ensure that everything is delivered to your local shop or front door as fresh as possible. You may very well be purchasing product that is only days, or even hours, old! The people who make the products do everything from cracking coconuts to cutting fresh fruit to steaming herbal infusions- they hand make each product from start to finish. I love how it really shows in the quality of the finished product. When LUSH says handmade, they really mean it! LUSH invents their own products and fragrances. They make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients and they even tell you when they were made.
I am really into the fact that LUSH works hard to fight against animal testing. To read more about their policy and why/what they believe, click here. They also have a great policy on being Green, read more about that here.

My Thoughts
I genuinely love everything about this company. They had so many products, it was too hard to choose what to try first. I stuck to one category, but cannot wait to see what else they have to offer in the future!

 Buche De Noel
This softening and nourishing limited edition facial cleanser is perfect for keeping my skin feeling fantastic all winter. I am in love with everything about it: the scent, the way it looks, the way it feels, and especially how it works. It is as easy as smoothing over the entire face and simply rinsing off. It was hard not to taste it.. The smell reminded me of warm, holiday cakes. This cleanser contains such natural, fresh ingredients that it only lasts for about 3 months after its creation date. That shouldn't be a problem. In my experience, I wanted to use this cleanser daily, so it didn't last long. Ground almonds gently exfoliate away rough skin while softening almond oil and nutrient-rich seaweed hydrate and nourish. Fresh Satsuma oranges brighten up dull complexions and the added shot of brandy helps to cleanse and tone.
 Let the Good Times Roll
I may have a thing for facial cleansers.. This particular one is a seasonal cleanser inspired by popcorn. It is smoothing, soothing and ever so slightly warming on the skin. The thick, sweet smell is intoxicating. Yet again, another LUSH product I wanted to taste. It smells THAT good. The label even says "If you're tempted to nibble, try our Popcorn Lip Scrub instead!". Now.. That is definitely something I want need to try. This cleanser has maize flour and corn meal to gently exfoliate, and a dash of cinnamon powder to cleanse and warm cold winter skin. Its rich, velvety texture leaves your skin perfectly balanced, glowing and smelling like sweet and salted caramel corn.
Angels Delight Soap
I am so glad I got to try this soap! It is now out of stock, so I am feeling really lucky. The scent is amazing. I am not usually a huge fan of bar soaps, but this one is different. The bars themselves are small and colorful. The scent is almost as unique as the design of the bar itself. This soap has a tangerine and orange scent inspired by the popular English custard of the same name. The colors are so bright and uplifting, as well as a bit random. Pink, Blue, Yellow with some metallic stars thrown in sporadically.

  2. I've experimented with DIY beauty products, esp organic and raw. It has made me appreciate well made products - this looks like an excellent choice for cosmetics!
