Dew Puff Review and Giveaway (3 Winners!)

About Dew Puff

Dew Puff is a 100% plant-based facial cleansing sponge. Cleans, exfoliates, brightens, and refreshes.
Masashi Tsuchiya is the person behind importing Dew Puff to the U.S. His wife Maya was looking for an affordable beauty tool to offer to the American consumer. She found Konjac sponges. They have had a long history of use, so the couple knew that they were highly effective...and thus, Dew Puff was born!

For those of you who have never heard of Konjac, they are grown in China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and southeast Asia for its large starchy corms, used to create a flour and jelly of the same name. It is also used as a vegan substitute for gelatin. Although the konjac is often colloquially referred to as a yam, it actually bears no relation to the tubers of the same family.

Dew Puff offers 3 varieties of their konjac sponge:
*Original – Simply Konjac.  No frills.  Perfect for use with your favorite cleanser… or alone!
*Asian Clay – Clay has been used by ancient peoples in almost every culture of the world. Soothes, cleanses, and moisturizes.
*Bamboo Charcoal – Perfect for troubled, erupted, oily skin. Draws impurities. All the goodness of charcoal.

My Thoughts
Up until a few weeks ago, the word Konjac did not exist in my vocabulary. Now that I have learned more about it, it is here to stay. For me, this sponge has revolutionized my beauty routine. Often times I wasn't able to exfoliate properly, causing my skin to flake after applying makeup. The Dew Puff has completely changed that for me. There is no way I could go back to washing my face (or the rest of my body for that matter) without the assistance of the Konjac sponge. I love that each sponge can last up to 3 months when used twice a day. Not only has it helped me to have better skin, it has helped my plants as well. Not in the way you may think, but after the sponge starts to deteriorate, no loner being of use to me, I put it into the bottom of my potted plants to help retain moisture. Since Dew Puffs are 100% plant based, they are biodegradable. I can even throw them into my worm bin if I wanted to! I couldn't detect too much of a difference between the three, but if I had to choose, my favorite would be the Bamboo Charcoal.
