Giant Microbes Review and Giveaway

I don't know about you, but I have seen these cute Giant Microbes toys and products popping up all over the place. I have seen them mainly online, especially blogs, but I have even spotted them in random stores, such as a certain record/toy store in Austin. I have always been a lover of science, and seeing these dolls makes me giggle. I just had to have some for myself! I was lucky enough to get to choose which microbe I wanted to try, although that meant spending nearly an hour browsing the Giant Microbe site looking for the perfect one. They have so many cute toys from so many categories. A few that I thought were super clever were the
Venereals:
(The Clap - Gonorrhea,
The Pox - Syphilis
Herpes, Chlamydia, HPV
Trichomoniasis, Crab Louse)

and the Calamities:
(Black Death, Ebola,
Flesh Eating, Mad Cow,
Typhoid Fever, Anthrax, Cholera,
Dengue Fever, Botulism )

It was a hard decision, but I decided to go for something cute instead of something funny (not that STD's are funny or anything..). I chose the Sea Sparkle minis. Instead of one large microbe doll I chose the petri dish with 3 mini microbes. Ever since watching Blue Planet, I have been fascinated with bioluminescent creatures. The Sea Sparkle is the common term for a Noctiluca Scintillan. Sea Sparkles are a free-living non-parasitic marine-dwelling species of dinoflagellate that exhibits bioluminescence, when disturbed. OMG these little stuffed creatures are adorable, as well as soft, and they always bring a smile to my face.
