Old Mother Hubbard Dog Treats Review

Old Mother Hubbard is a division of the Wellpet LLC, makers of Wellness dog food. Old Mother Hubbard starts with, all-natural ingredients including: chicken, cheddar cheese, apples, carrots, sweet potatoes and oatmeal. Then they slowly oven-bake every snack to preserve the natural flavors dogs love!

WellPet made sure to send us quite the selection when sending us treats to let our spoiled pooch try out. The package arrived just in time, as we already had the car packed up, and were getting ready to visit the country for the weekend. With the car being packed to the brim, and not knowing where we are headed, Paddington tends to get anxious. Since we had these new treats, he understood that if he was well behaved, he would receive yummy snacks at random.

The first treats Padders got to try were the Chik-N-Apples Mini Biscuits. These were the perfect little treat to give as rewards for tricks. As A matter of fact, we actually used these treats to teach Paddington to speak. He learned the command in under 10 tries, and I must say it is rather adorable. As long as he doesn't get too loud. I was so surprised by how quickly he learned! I think he may have been motivated by the biscuits perhaps..

Paddington is rather affectionate. Although we love his kisses, we don't exactly care for his breath. The Tartar Control and Minty Fresh Breath biscuits were just what we have been looking for! The Tartar Control biscuits have added baking soda and help whiten teeth while reducing tartar build up. The Minty Fresh Breath treats are made with Spearmint, Parsley, and Fennel. Despite his picky tendencies, Paddington truly enjoyed both of these treats. He had no idea they were actually good for him, as he would tend to avoid the healthy varieties. After only a few days his breath is noticeably less offensive, and he doesn't stink up the car with his breath like he used to.

Just like the Chick-N-Apples biscuits, the Original Assortment as well as the Bac-N-Cheez biscuits were perfect as training rewards. Paddington isn't large by any means, weighing roughly 50 poundss, but these biscuits are pretty tiny. I actually enjoy their small size. The larger dog biscuits tend to crumble and make a mess everywhere. The Original Assortment came with several flavors, perfect to try out on a picky dog like Pad. Flavors included: Original, Chicken, Cheddar, and Char-Tar. He really liked these biscuits, but he absolutely loved the Bac-N-Cheez biscuits. He went nuts for them! You can tell he is my dog; bacon is my biggest guilty pleasure.

I think that it is safe to say we have finally discovered a new must have for our spoiled teddy bear of a dog. Not only does he really love Old Mother Hubbards dog biscuits, I also loved them for knowing that they are natural and healthy for my dog. Old Mother Hubbards was a real treat for our furry companion and is as close to homemade as it gets, unless you made the biscuits yourself!
